Who are we?

The time for over-consumption is past, nowadays we consume differently and responsibly.
It's on the model of "rent rather than own" that Move&Rent was established as the name for « student rental » in 2012.
The idea was simple and addressed two problems: student mobility and incessant moves and furniture purchase for short periods that then had to be quickly disposed of.
NEW furniture rental for students, including moving in and out, and furniture second life reuse\recycling was born!
This concept received the « Audacity Awards » Innovation Prize in 2012.

Students, schools and parents quickly adopted our service.
On the strength of this success, and in keeping with our values of circular economics, in 2015 we launched Move&Rent with the aim of offering each eco-responsible consumer, individual or professional, the opportunity throughout Netherlands to rent NEW furniture for short periods whilst guaranteeing the second life recycling\reuse of each piece of furniture rented.
Since 2012, 40,000 items of new rental furniture have been recycled\reused.
